Patsy Ann Ash, age 74, of Wapello, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, February 27, 2007, at her daughter’s home. The daughter of Milton J. and Marie Scottin Campbell, she was born January 6, 1933 at Milton, Iowa. She married Frank Laverne Ash on January 20, 1960 at Monmouth, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 15, 1993.

Patsy was a homemaker and had been a cook at the Wapello School, the Wapello Nursing Home, the Jack and Jill Foods, and various restaurants.

She had attended at the Solid Rock Baptist Church at Wapello. Her family was most important to her, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, her birds and flowers, and going shopping.

She is survived by three daughters, Lavonne ‘Vonnie’ and John Alexander of Danville, Pam and Dave Rosauer of Wapello, and Sherri and Doug Carver of Wapello; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian and Pete Roberts of Ottumwa; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Laverne; two brothers, Bill Campbell and Jack Campbell; and two sisters, Donna Miller and Betty Taylor.

As per her desires, her body has been cremated.

The graveside ceremony for Patsy Ash was held on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at the Wapello Cemetery with Pastor Dan Doolin and Pastor Brent Smith officiating.

A Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of the Great River Hospice.
The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home at Wapello is providing the care and arrangements for Patsy Ash and her family.
