-Charles Johnson-Charles “Chuck” Johnston, 62, of Letts, died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at his residence. Graveside services was held Monday, July 16, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery. Earlene Lekwa presided over the services. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Chuck’s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Johnston family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Chuck Johnston was born on April 24, 1945, in Macomb, IL, the son of Wayne and Mildred Johnston. Chuck was a life long farmer. He served in the National Guard. Chuck enjoyed tractor pulling and collecting CASE IH hats and tractors. Chuck will be dearly missed by his mother; Mildred of the Lutheran Homes in Muscatine, one half-sister, Eva May of Macomb, IL and two aunts; Ruth McKinnon of Galesburg, IL and Mary Sage and her husband, Fred of Rock Island, IL. Chuck was preceded in death by his father. |
