-Louise May MacEachern-

Louise, May MacEachern, 70, of Conesville, Iowa, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at her home in Conesville.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2007, at 10:00am at the Conesville United Methodist Church.  Rev. Catherine Whitlatch will officiate.  Casketbearers will be Dan Vogeler, Linda McKeller, Terry Westaway, Orville (Pete) Bass, Rick Carey and Tom Meeker.  Honorary Casketbearers will be Bill Hesseltine, Lowell Bass, Willard Solomon, Kenny Weber and Bob Duncan.  Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery.  Following the services there will be a time of food and fellowship for family and friends.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18th, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Conesville United Methodist Church, the Conesville First Responders and the Conesville Fire Department in Louise’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left to the MacEachern family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.    

Louise May Bass was born December 6, 1936, in Port Louisa, Iowa, the daughter of Orville A. and Nellie (Applebee) Bass.  On July 13, 1958, Louise was united in marriage to John L. MacEachern in Nichols, Iowa.  Louise worked at Monsanto in Muscatine, Iowa, retiring in December of 1994.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a devoted volunteer at the Roundy Elementary School and for Hospice.    

Louise will be dearly missed by her son, Jay MacEachern and his wife, Terri of Wapello, IA, her granddaughters, Morgan Wagler and her husband, Matt of Wayland, IA and Emily MacEachern of Wapello; her sister, Amy Westaway and her husband, Donald of Conesville; and many nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Johnny on July 22, 1991; her brothers, Raymond Ohman, Arthur Bass, Jesse Bass, Frank Bass and Harvey Bass; and her sisters, Blanche Holtzlaw and Mary Bass.
