-Beverly Anne Murphy-

Beverly Anne Murphy, 65, of Miles, IA passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2007.  She is now soaring with the angels in heaven.   She was a substitute teacher for over 25 years.  She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, reading, crossword puzzles, cryptograms,  judging for 4-H, and always was  a planner.  She loved travelling with her husband whether it be to see her children, grandchildren, or friends.  She was a member of the UPW, Miles Presbyterian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, , and various other activities.  She also sold Avon for 17 years. 
Survivors include:  husband, Tom, Miles, IA; one son, Jason (Colette) Murphy, Olathe, KS; one daughter, Heather (Russ) Wilke, St Paul Park, MN; 5 grandchildren (Mikayla, Kyle, Shelby, Dakota, and Jayden); one sister, Barbara (Roger) McAllister, Mt Union, IA; one brother, Everette (Nancy) Howell, Letts, IA. 

Visitation was held on Monday, October 8th from 3-7 pm at Lemke Funeral Home, Clinton, IA.  Funeral was held on Tuesday, October 9th at 10 am at the 1st Presbyterian Church, Miles.  A luncheon followed at the church.  Graveside services were held on Tuesday following the luncheon at 4 pm in Washington, IA.  The family requests that memorials be made to:  1st Presbyterian Church or the Youth Scholarship Fund.
