-Dorothy Ann Phillips-Dorothy Ann Phillips, age 77, of Fredonia, Iowa, died Monday, January 2, 2006 at the C.M.C. Hospital in Monmouth, Illinois. Dorothy Ann Monson was born October 25, 1928 in Britt, Iowa. The daughter of Henry and Agnes Monson. On April 10, 1948 Dorothy was united in marriage to Jerry Phillips in Livermore, Iowa. Dorothy was a homemaker and an avid NASCAR fan, especially watching Dale Earnhart, Jr. She enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye Basketball and the Chicago Bulls. Dorothy loved to cook and watch Wheel of Fortune, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her husband, Jerry of Fredonia; her two sons, Michael Phillips and his wife, Betty of Columbus Junction and Jeffrey Phillips and his wife, Jane of Fredonia; her three daughters, Sandra Kraft and her husband, Dean of Tipton, Dianne Renken and her husband, Daryl of Monmouth, IL and Kathy Hoback and her husband, Charles of Conesville; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Donald ‘Buddy’ Monson and wife, Perk of Alden, MN; and two sisters, Gay Stucker and her husband, Gene of California and Margaret Wilder of Syracuse, NY. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and eleven brothers and sisters. |
