Cody D. Ray, 11, of Columbus Junction passed away on February 3, 2008 due to injuries sustained in a vehicular accident near Fredonia.    Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Solid Rock Baptist Church, 14041 Locust St, Wapello, Iowa.  Pastor Dan Doolin will officiate the services.  Burial will be held at Columbus City Cemetery.  Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Solid Rock Baptist Church.  Visitation for Cody will be held on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Cody’s name.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com

Cody Davis was born on April 2, 1996 in Des Moines, Iowa the son of David Wayne Ray and Stacey Maxine Carver.  Cody attended fifth grade at the Wilma S. Roundy Elementary School in Columbus Junction.  He enjoyed playing football, baseball, soccer, was involved in Beat for Peace and had just started taking art classes.

Cody will be deeply missed by his parents, David Ray of Des Moines and Stacey Meyer and her husband, Kyle, of Columbus Junction; two sisters, Angelina King and her husband, Russell, of Pleasantville, Iowa and Miranda Ray of Lucas, Iowa; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Ray of Pleasant Hill; maternal grandfather, Douglas Carver and his wife, Sherri, of Wapello; maternal grandmother, Debra Moore and her husband, Michael, of Des Moines; step-grandparents, Ed Meyer and his wife, Gina, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin and Debra Brown of Wapello.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Raymond Ray; step-grandfather, Donald Brown; and his brother, Tanner Michael Ray, who was involved in the same vehicular accident.
