-Lyman B. Wagoner-

Lyman B. Wagoner, 76 of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Rev. Ramona Wink will officiate. Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Harold Nicholson, Lester Bausch, Brad Wagoner, Austin Becht, Bruce Wagoner, and Marvin Prior. Honorary casketbearers will be Vernon Seitz, Colton Clark, Dylan Wagoner, and Michael Brown. Following the committal services a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Columbus Junction American Legion. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 P.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Lyman’s name. Sympathy notes may be left to the Wagoner family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Lyman B. Wagoner was born March 17, 1931 in Mercer County, IL the son of Harold L. and Clara M. (Krueger) Wagoner. On May 26, 1951, Lyman was united in marriage to Rosa B. Lutz in Conesville. Lyman served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 – 1953 and then served in the Army Reserves for 12 years. Lyman was a certified butcher and meat cutter, and for 17 years was a foreman at Rath Packing. He was an over the road truck driver for many years, most recently retiring from security at I.B.P./Tyson in Columbus Junction. He was a member of the American Legion. Lyman enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing and was an avid Hawkeye, Chicago Cubs and Dale Earnhart, Sr. fan.

Lyman will be dearly missed by his wife; Rosa of Columbus Junction, his three children, Debbie J. Foster and her husband, William, of Bettendorf, Dennis P. Wagoner and his wife, Jan, of Columbus Junction and Darla D. Becht and her husband, Mark, of Cambridge, IL.; five grandchildren, Angie Scott of Bettendorf, Brad Wagoner and his wife, Judi, of Muscatine, Bethany Brown and her husband, Michael, of Muscatine and Austin and Shelby Becht of Cambridge and two great-grandchildren, Colton Clark and Dylan Wagoner of Muscatine.

Lyman was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Darlene, in infancy and one brother; Charles.
