Mable C. Wilson, 91, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday evening, November 6, 2007, at Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

Funeral services for Mable were Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 10:00 A.M. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Rev. John W. Monger of the Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church officiated. Casketbearers were Douglas Wilson, Craig Wilson, Sharee Hoegerl, Michael Todd, Brenda Detters, Glenda Lehmberg, Robert Jarrard, Patrick Jarrard, Christine Beekman and J. Gregory Skubal. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation was held on Friday, November 9th, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mable Catherine Morrison was born July 29, 1916, in Louisa County, Iowa, the daughter of Perry Alfred “Fred” and Rhoda (Marion) Morrison. On September 3, 1935, Mable was united in marriage to Raymond Masson Wilson in Illinois. Mable had worked as a cook for the Columbus Junction schools for 18 years. She was a member of the Washington Reformed Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Missionary Fellowship and the Ainsworth Sewing Club. Mable enjoyed helping her husband with the farm work in the Columbus Junction and Ainsworth area. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking for her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mable will be dearly missed by her children, Karen Todd and husband, Gary of Columbus Junction, Don Wilson and wife, Judy of Columbus Junction, Dorothy Jarrard and husband, Gaylen of Washington, IA, and Janice Skubal and husband, John of Ainsworth, IA; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 step great-grandchildren; and 4 sisters, Josephine Hammond of Columbus Junction, Ruth Fletcher and Lillian Fletcher, both of Wapello, and Marion Langstaff and husband, Doug of Oakville, IA.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; 3 brothers, Dale Morrison, Ted Morrison and John Morrison; and 2 sisters, Edna Partington and Helen Morrison.
