-John William Wolf-

John William Wolf, 94, died Thursday, December 28, 2006, at the Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.

John was born June14, 1912, in Britton, South Dakota. He was the son of John Wolf Sr. and Myrtle (Bass) Wolf. On December 4, 1937, he married Alyce Irene Mansen in Middleberg, Iowa.

John was employed by the White/Oliver Corporation for almost 30 years, most of them as the regional service manager. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Des Moines, IA. John was a 20-year volunteer at Living History Farms in Des Moines, and a long time member of the Tuesday Club at Westminster Presbyterian Church. John and Alyce lived for 19 years at Scottish Rite Park after retirement.

His wife, Alyce preceded him in death on July 20, 1998.

He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Ann Johnson and Betty King, both of Denver, Colorado, and Nancy and Charles Sparrow of Columbus Junction, IA; 5 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 8 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Glen Wolf and wife, Bonita of Storm Lake, IA, and 2 sisters, Gladys and Rich Richards, of Richmond, VA and Helen and Ray Crippen of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by a special friend, Helen Vetter, of Des Moines. Two step-grandchildren also preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
