Shirley R. Wolford, 72, of Rock Island, IL, formerly of Geneseo, IL and Coal Valley, IL, died Sunday November 18, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.

A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at North Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.

The former Shirley R. Billings was born October 21, 1935 in Louisa County, Iowa, a daughter of Cecil Billings and Florence Tripp Billings. She married Jack L. Wolford on July 31, 1955 in Columbus Junction, IA. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She and her late sister, Jean, owned and operated the former Sister's Two Shop in Geneseo for 15 years. She retired in 1998. She was a member, past worthy matron, and state instructor of the Geneseo Chapter 275, Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving is her son, Allen A. Wolford, Rock Island. Her parents, husband, two
brothers, Charles and Bob Billings, and her sister, Jean Willey, preceded her
in death.
