-Geraldine McGill-Geraldine McGill, 93, of Decatur, Illinois, formerly of rural Muscatine, died Monday, February 9, 2009 Geraldine LaJune Kemp was born on January 18, 1916, in Letts, Iowa, the daughter of John Walter and Iva Flora (Orr) Kemp. On December 10, 1938 Geraldine was united in marriage to William Rollie Canady in Norgalles, Arizona. He died in 1943. She then married Earl Wayne McGill in 1946 , and he died in 1970. Geraldine lived on the Muscatine Island for most of her married life. She was employed by Hon Industries as a line worker. Geraldine was also a published author. She loved gardening, fishing with her grandkids, raising animals, going to auctions, collecting antique fruit jars and being with her family. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, an infant daughter, Iva, her son William Wayne Canady, four great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Robert and Donald Kemp.
