Robert H. Fuller, age 87 of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Central Tampa, Florida, following complications from cancer surgery.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 13, with inurnment with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery.

Robert was born June 29, 1921, in Columbus Junction to Ward and Marie Fuller.  Robert graduated from Cotter High School in 1939.  He married Kathleen O'Riley May 4, 1945.  She preceded him in death in May 2007.  Robert was a United States Navy World War II Veteran.  He served with the United States Navy for six years.  During his military career he served aboard the U.S.S. Harris and the U.S.S. Indianapolis.  After his discharge from the military he worked at the Naval Research Laboratories in Washington, D.C., until his retirement in 1974.  He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs and NARFE.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Jr. of New Port Richey, and Robert Ingersoll of Hudson and a daughter, Kathy Donahue, Yardley, Pennsylvania, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, Richard and Paul and a sister, Josephine Crumly.  He is survived by one brother, Edward Fuller of Muscatine and three sisters, Mary Hill of West Des Moines, Marcia Gabriel and Harriett Heckathorn of Madrid, and many nieces and nephews.
